Body Composition

Body Fat/Muscle Analyzer: InBody 570 Body Composition Analyzer

The InBody is cutting edge technology that measures muscle/visceral muscle and percent body fat/fat mass in each arm, leg, and torso. This powerful diagnostic tool also measures visceral fat… a key indicator of obesity related diseases. It can determine how much fat you can safely lose, and it charts your progress as you get stronger. In addition, it also measures the ration of extracellular water / total body water, which indicates inflammation levels. It also can detect imbalances between limbs for early detection and prevention of injuries. The test is harmless and painless, and scan and consultation only takes 15 minutes.

NO ESTIMATIONS

Only impedance is used to determine your body composition results; no statistical data or empirical equations are used or required to predict your body composition. With InBody’s patented technology, BIA has never been more highly correlated with gold standard methods until now.

Explore the Results Sheets

Each InBody Test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user. The InBody 570 provides you with lean mass and fat values in each segment of the body to give you a proper assessment of body composition. Download the Results Sheet Interpretation here.

What does the InBody570 analysis provide to me?

Efficient calculations of your weight, lean body mass, body fat and total pounds of body water. This can be utilized to determine how specific diets and exercises are affecting the body composition.

Information about your body and the way it functions so our certified trainers can effectively create a tailored fitness and nutrition plan focused on losing body fat %, and gaining muscle as well as other health benefits.
Body mass index (BMI), basal metabolic rate (the amount of calories burned at a resting rate), and segmental lean body mass measurements. Gaining access to this information enables our trainers to design your personal fitness plan that will help you achieve your goals and see better results.

Total body water with a differential of water both in and out of the cell – where you have water collecting in your body (edema), which can be a sign of injury or inflammation. This makes it easier to identify and track inflammation, swelling, and even injuries with the ECW/TBS. The dietitian will address any issues with you.
You can track your information that is provided under the provided Body Composition History Chart on your printout information.
Why shouldn’t you base your current health status off your weight alone?
The ratio between muscle mass and body fat is more meaningful and important than body weight alone. Muscle is denser and weighs more than fat, so a lean, muscular person can weigh more than someone with a higher amount of body fat. Percent of body fat, rather than weight, is a more accurate means of assessing degrees of obesity or degrees of fitness.

Pictured left is an image of what your In-Body report will reveal. Inbody Report This is the first of three pages of important information that the In-body will tell us about your current body composition. This report sheet is especially useful to bring to your primary physician if you are considering starting a new medication.

The Inbody 570 measures body fat, muscle mass and inflammation. As for body fat, the InBody determines subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, segmental fat (arms, trunk, legs, etc).

The InBody 570 also measures muscle mass. Total muscularity can be measured, and we can see changes in hypertrophy in specific training areas. With one InBody measurement we know what kind of training you are doing and what you’re not working. We can even tell whether you are left or right handed.

As for internal inflammation, the InBody can compute the ratio of extracellular water to intracellular water. We can use this information to determine food allergies, excess sugar in your diet, internal edema or bleeding, systemic infections, or fat imbalances.

The Inbody 570 uses the world’s most finely tuned 6 point bioimpedience technology based on the voltage drop caused by subcutaneous and visceral fat. It can compute dry mass (bones, skin, hair, etc.) as well so we can determine what reasonable gains should be. With an InBody analysis we can target specific exercises and exercise routines to strengthen your weak areas, and also ensure the exercises you are doing are working.

When we pair with our nutritional counseling service, the In-body can help flag internal hormonal imbalance, give us insight about how your body is reacting to inflammatory foods. It gives amazing insight into muscle imbalances and can even compute an overall fitness score based on your body composition.
